Raymarine’s latest software release offers more control and better safety

Date: 04-Feb-2021

LightHouse Edgartown 3.13, named after the picturesque harbour on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, is the latest update to Raymarine’s popular operating system for the Axiom range, offering owners more control over their onboard systems, more safety and greater access to technical support.

Proven to be beneficial for those using CZone digital switching to control their various onboard systems, Edgartown allows users to automatically populate their Axiom displays with all their digital switches, without the need for any additional graphics files or tools.

Offering heightened awareness, Edgartown now features a full colour radar overlay that makes it quicker and easier to identify other vessels, birds, objects and landmarks. For compatible systems, the doppler functionality can also be overlaid with green and pink used to signify outbound and inbound traffic. The new update also includes new radar/chart range sync controls and waypoint location icons.

Another stand-out feature of LightHouse 3.13 is the addition of the Oscar Collison Avoidance App. Accessed from the LightHouse Apps menu, Oscar is an innovative thermal and visible camera system especially designed to detect floating hazards and prevent collisions.

Edgartown also comes with Raymarine’s helpful AnyDesk remote desktop app. This allows users, dealers and technical support teams to access an Axiom display from a remote PC or tablet using the internet and is great for helping with training, troubleshooting and remote system configuration.

Raymarine’s new Edgartown LightHouse 3.13 operating system for Axiom, Axiom Pro and Axiom XL multifunction displays is now available and free to download using the Axiom’s software update feature or from http://www.raymarine.eu/multifunction-displays/lighthouse3/.
