L&B Appoints New National Sales Manager
Lusty and Blundell Ltd, New Zealand’s largest distributor of leading brand marine products and systems, has appointed key account manager Darryl Whitmore as their new sales manager.
Whitmore, a leading marine industry salesman for more than 17 years, joined Lusty and Blundell in 2013.

He had long wanted to work for the company and had very clear goals.
“The day I joined Lusty and Blundell, I told then sales manager, Mark Findlay, that I wanted his job,” he remembers. “When Mark left to further his education, I quickly applied and got it.”
As Lusty and Blundell’s sales manager, Darryl Whitmore will be based at the company’s headquarters and showroom in Albany, Auckland. He will initially be responsible for the 10 sales staff working out of the company’s three branches (Auckland, Whangarei and Tauranga) as well as L&B’s major accounts, Auckland retail clients and customers in the lower half of the South Island.
He also plans to further strengthen Lusty and Blundell’s already strong focus on customer service and support.
“I want our sales team to spend even more time with our customers, gaining a deep understanding of their businesses and helping them become even more successful,” he says.
Darryl Whitmore says he is very excited about the new products Lusty and Blundell will be able to offer in the lead up to this summer’s boating season.
“We have really exciting new ranges of Raymarine electronics coming through,” he says. “These sophisticated new electronics cover every part of the market from the entry level Dragonfly to the top of the line new ES series.
“We have also got great new products from Ocean Signal, Ultraflex and Hella to name just a few.”
