Vetus’ amazing BOW PRO Boosted thrusters now deliver even greater levels of control
Three new revolutionary BOW PRO Boosted models, for vessels 22-30m, and a new double thruster joystick giving owners superb new levels of manoeuvrability have been added to Vetus’ trusted range of thrusters.
Designed for dual (bow and stern) thruster installations, Vetus’ new double thruster control panel features a powerful multi-axis twist joystick that allows owners, with just a twist of their wrist, to move their vessel in any direction and position.
The joystick features a temporary hold function to keep the vessel against a marina finger, wharf or fuel jetty so passengers can embark or disembark without the need to tie up. And, when using a Vetus CANBUS joystick, BOW PRO Boosted thrusters offer full proportionality of power from 25% to 100%, enhancing exact manoeuvring and greatly reducing the chances of damage to either the vessel or the marina. Unlimited run times are also achievable when in a reduced thrust mode and only governed by the battery capacity.
For example: at 100%, the thruster will operate for 10min before automatically reducing power.
Vetus BOW PRO Boosted thrusters are also very economical with the 24v models for vessels up to 18m also able to be installed on 12v vessels and the larger 48v models, for larger vessels, able to be installed on 24v vessels. This is thanks to Vetus’ exclusive built-in DC-to-DC smart chargers. These ensure the charge connection is constantly monitored and is automatically activated only once the voltage level of the charging source reaches a suitable level, preventing the charging source (such as the engine starting batteries) from being depleted.
Vetus BOW PRO Boosted thrusters are one of a kind true extended run time thrusters using maintenance-free brushless induction motors that provide a far quieter experience when manoeuvring.
The three new models, for vessels from 22-30m, use a 300mm diameter tunnel and range from 285 – 320kgf of thrust.
The full range of Vetus BOW PRO Boosted thrusters is now available through Lusty and Blundell’s showrooms in Albany, on Auckland’s North Shore; Whangarei and Tauranga.
