L&B adds Hella’s new Apelo lights to growing underwater range

Lusty & Blundell Ltd, New Zealand’s leading distributor of high-quality marine products and systems, has now added Hella’s exciting new Apelo models to their fast-growing range of top-of-the-line underwater lights.

L&B will now offer the Apelo LED lights alongside their existing ranges of popular underwater lights, enabling them to offer the perfect underwater lights for every size and style of vessel.

The new Apelo range includes models producing 1,800 or 3,000 lumens of blazing blue/white or RGB light. The new models incorporate Hella’s new Optical Intelligence (which focuses the asymmetrical light pattern efficiently below the waterline in a narrow vertical angle for a spectacular effect). They also mark the debut of Edge Light technology and are backed by an industry-leading 5-year warranty.

Designed, engineered and robotically manufactured in Hella's New Zealand facility to the same exacting quality standards as its lighting for high-performance carmakers, Apelo lights are engineered for absolute waterproof reliability, are completely sealed to IP68 and IP69 levels, are electronically protected and can be run out of the water.

The new Apelo range is initially available in two models: the Apelo A1, which is perfect for small- to mid-sized boats up to 12m and the Apelo A2, which is suitable for boats up to 18m.

At just 95mm in diameter and less than 24mm high, the Apelo lights are both compact and, using Hella's robust surface mounting system, easy to install, needing just a 15.5mm centre and three screw holes.

Hella’s new Apelo A1 and A2 underwater lights are now available nationwide through Lusty and Blundell’s network of leading marine dealers and through the company’s showrooms in Albany, Whangarei and Tauranga.
