Major yacht builder partners with Raymarine, showcases sophisticated new sailing system
World-leading marine electronics manufacture Raymarine has signed an OEM supply contract with HanseYachts, the world’s second largest builder of sailing yachts.
Hanse who manufactures the popular Sealine and Moody Yachts brands, and who already rely on Raymarine for their navigation solutions, are just the latest in a long line of top international boat builders choosing to partner extensively with Raymarine.
Using the recent Cannes Yachting Festival to unveil their new Hanse 410 fast cruiser, Hanse also took the opportunity to showcase Raymarine’s sophisticated new Performance Sailing system.
Combining Raymarine’s clever new Alpha Series display, Smart Wind Technology and RSW Series Wind sensors, with performance sailing upgrades to the company’s popular LightHouse operating system for Axiom chartplotters, the new system revolutionises tactical awareness and decision making for both club racers and cruising sailors.
Available in 7- and 9-inch, high-visibility tactical touchscreen models, the new Alpha Series displays feature a fully customisable dashboard and graphic displays and are designed for either helm or mast mounting in either a portrait or landscape configuration. They are controlled and customised via their touchscreens or remotely from a Raymarine Axiom chartplotter.
Incorporating Raymarine's groundbreaking new Smart Wind Technology, the newly designed RSW Series Wind sensors are intelligent self-calibrating sensors that offer a new level of sailing intelligence. A result of Raymarine’s 40-years of sailing instrument experience and combined with a 3D motion sensor, they deliver fast, ultra-precise wind speed and direction measurements, allowing sailors to take advantage of advanced wind, speed and polar calculations to make smarter race and performance sailing decisions when they matter most.
Mark Milburn, managing director of Raymarine distributor, Lusty & Blundell Ltd says he is excited to have these new sailing systems now available in New Zealand.
“This is an incredibly powerful combination of electronic charting, next-generation precision wind monitoring and touchscreen tactical displays that hugely enhances skippers’ understanding of their surrounding environment.
“This breakthrough technology enables sailors to make smarter, quicker decisions, both when racing or when simply looking for the fastest, easiest route to their next anchorage.”
Raymarine’s exciting new Performance Sailing products are now available.
