Latest LightHouse II software upgrade adds more benefits for Raymarine MFDs
Latest LightHouse II software upgrade adds more benefits for Raymarine MFDs The latest upgrade to Raymarine’s popular, easy-to-use LightHouse II interface delivers features such as Navionics Auto Routing, ECO-Mode displays (for those with Honda outboards) and the ability to run NZMariner Raster Charts.
The upgrade is free to all owners of contemporary Raymarine MFDs (multi function displays). Navionics Auto Routing is a convenient tool that enables boaties to quickly plan their cruising itinerary. It is ideal for those travelling from port to port, island hopping or heading well offshore to productive fishing areas. Auto Routing is incredibly easy-to-use and takes advantage of the latest Navionics cartography to ensure the best, safest route to the selected destination.
When used with Honda outboards, the new LightHouse ll upgrade also helps boaties identify when their engines are running as economically as possible. When the outboard is operating most efficiently, the ECO-mode symbol appears on the tachometer display and the centre of the tachometer needle emits a green glow. The new LightHouse II software update also enables Raymarine MFD users to run the complete range of NZMariner Raster Charts.
These cover all of New Zealand and parts of the Pacific islands. Exact scans of the original paper charts, Raster Charts are vivid, bold and extremely accurate. “The latest upgrade to the LightHouse II interface is good news for existing Raymarine MFD owners,” says Mark Milburn, CEO of New Zealand Raymarine distributor Lusty and Blundell Ltd. “They get to access all this latest technology at no extra charge. “It is also very good news for those thinking of buying a new Raymarine MFD: they can get all those benefits, plus a market-leading Raymarine MFD and a full set of Raster navigation charts for a very affordable price.”
Other benefits of the new LightHouse II upgrade include improved alarm management, Radar Overlay (using Course Over Ground), a shared preferences scheme and much more. The new LightHouse interface upgrade is free and available now from http://www.raymarine.com.au/view/?id=3764.
