Accomplished boatbuilder brings expertise to Lusty & Blundell’s Tauranga branch
Accomplished boat builder Kieran Raupi has joined the crew at Lusty & Blundell’s Tauranga branch, sharing his knowledge and expertise with the area’s boat builders, marine tradespeople and professional and recreational boaties.
Kieran boasts an extensive background in aluminium boat building in both New Zealand and Australia. He has built everything from runabouts to superyachts, including commercial and naval vessels.
Starting as a fabricator, Kieran finished his boat building career as a project manager.
“That experience has given Kieran a thorough understanding of the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems used in both new builds and refits,” says L&B’s sales manager, Bob Fassio.
“That knowledge will ensure customers always get the right advice and will give them confidence that the products we supply will perform as they expect.”
Kieran Raupi’s role in L&B’s popular Tauranga branch sees him supporting the company’s travelling representatives and providing practical advice and the appropriate products in store.
“I first became aware of Lusty & Blundell while I was doing my apprenticeship,” he says. “They had a really impressive reputation and it’s very exciting to now be a part of their team.
“There is a top crew here in L&B’s Tauranga branch, with really great morale, and that has been a huge incentive for me.”
When not hard at work, Kieran enjoys boating and fishing in the waters around the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel Peninsula.
