Spinlock Sail-Sense Sensor
Sail-Sense is a Fitbit for sails. It is a revolutionary sensor which helps you be smarter about your sail management by enabling use of data to enhance the performance and enjoyment of our sport by measuring the amount of use that a sail has been subjected to.
The matchbox sized, solid state, sealed unit is attached to the clew of a sail and records both UV exposure and accelerations to determine how long the sail has been used for, including how much it has been flogged. It evens notes which tack the sail has been on, for how long, and can logs how many tacks were performed over periods of time.
Measures key performance data - Hours of Use, UV, G-Force and Flogging (movement).
It creates a ‘passport’ for the sail, identifying make, model, construction date, dimensions and materials. Sail-Sense also allows a sail to be tracked, traced and located and a full history viewed in real time.
Sail-Sense links via Bluetooth with an App (iOS & Android) installed on a mobile, tablet, or PC to deliver this powerful analytical and performance data.
