Raymarine SeaTalk NG Power Cable
SeaTalk NG Power Cable.
Features:
- A cable to connect a SeaTalk NG backbone to a 12V switched power supply. This provides power to the whole network and attached devices. Only one power cable is used per network. When attached at the mid-point of a network, this cable powers each half of the network independently.
- Every device powered by the network has a LEN (Load Equivalency Number) which represents a multiple of 50mA. That is, a device with a LEN of 4 will use no more than 200mA. Ideally, the power cable should be attached to the middle of the network so that the total LEN of all attached devices is about the same on either side ( a 'balanced' system). However, Raymarine does allow for unbalanced systems with the power supply at one end where the backbone length is under 60M (197ft). For boats with a backbone length under 60M, which will include most recreational boats, the total LEN of all connected devices should not exceed 100 (i.e. 5A total load).
